"no","kai" and "dai"

Using "no","kai" and "dai" at the end of the interrogative sentences makes the interrogative sentence and it is often used in conversations.

  1. T"no"

    1. @Interrogative sentences with verbs or i-adjectives at the end of the sentence use gplain form + noh.
      Nouns or na-adjectives use gnoun or the stem of na-adjective + nanoh.
      Sore oishii no.
      Sore oishikunai no.
      Sore oishikatta no.
      Sore oishikunakatta no.
      Kare wa iku no.
      Kare wa ikanai no.
      Kare wa itta no.
      Kare wa ikanakatta no.
      Kyoo yasumi nano.
      Kyoo yasumijanai no.
      Kyoo yasumidatta no.
      Kyoo yasumijanakatta no.
      Kyoo hima nano.
      Kyoo himajanai no.
      Kyoo himadatta no.
      Kyoo himajanakatta no.


    2. @ When an interrogative word is used at the end of the sentence, "interrogative word +nano" is used.
      Kaigi wa itsu nano.
      Toire wa doko nano.
      Kore wa nan nano.
      Anohito wa dare nano.
      Shigoto wa doo nano.
      Chikoku shita nowa naze nano.
      Shachoo ga konai nowa dooshite nano.
      Anata no kasa wa dochira nano.


  2. "kai"

    1. Interrogative sentences without interrogative words use "the plain form of verb or i-adjective + kai or nokai".
      gThe noun or the stem of na-adjective + kai or nanokai" is used.
      Sore oishii kai / nokai.
      Sore oishikatta kai / nokai.
      Iku kai / nokai.
      Ikanai kai / nokai.
      Itta kai / nokai.
      Kyoo yasumi kai / nanokai.
      Kyoo hima kai / nanokai.


    2. The sentence with an interrogative word
      • When an interrogative word is at the end of the sentence, "interrogative word + nanokai ( kai) is used.
        Yansan ga konai nowa dooshite nanokai / kai.
        Okane o hataratte inai nowa dare nanokai / kai.
        Kaig iwa itsu nanokai. / kai.

      • When a phrase is used between the interrogative word and "kai", "interrogative word + ~ +nokai h is often used.
        Itsu hima nanokai.
        Naze kinoo konakatta nokai.


  3. "dai"

Please choose the appropriate word in the following parentheses.
